at all clients I have worked for so far (except one - extremely large player in the food & beverages market), this would be considered a task for the BW team
I guess it depends on how your company is structured
at the "exception" we weren't even allowed to do our own transports, so basis literally took care of all basis tasks (personally I don't think transports are a basis task, but they did)
