DB and Cateno....I see your point. I could keep the forecast in the DC for the next one yr for example, run MRP, create STOs for the one yr period which will show up as demand on the mfg plant and they could build to that. For my client its almost a paradigm shift to go from two seperate instances and two forecast statements...one for the DC and one for the mfg plant to a single instance with a single forecast statement.

But what if they have long lead components?  Would it be good to assign strategy 70 to them, source them and when the planned orders from higher level is created it would consume the PIRs for the components?
