More and more we go from a customer centric organization using Sold-to , Ship-to , Bill-to, Payer , ... to a contact centric organization , but the KNVK model in ECC is not very 'flexible' , and seems to lack to administrative tool ( deduplication , cleaning , moving of contact master data... ) compare to the Business Partner model in CRM and others GTS , ... .
The main Business Process SD Order Entry, Delivery, Invoice , Service are performed in ECC and will stay in ECC . Opportunity & Activities and Marketing in CRM
Will Master Data Governance 7.0 or some extensions based on MDG or others, help customer like us to be more contact centric in the core SD a Service business process?
Contact Business Partner could be made available in the Order Entry, Delivery, Invoice , Service has 'reference' ( All the attributes we expect from a contact like First Name, Last Name, .... ) without influencing the process , like Sold-to , Ship-to , Bill-to, Payer , ... influence Prices , output , etc , ....
Contact Business Partner is a more flexible and relational model that a KNVK model , short of being a B2C oriented business , we still are B2B, with the contact being a very important factor.
If SAP has a road map in this effect , or even a custom solution , please share
