Hoping somebody has some insights into this problem. We have created a UNX universe connecting to a Essbase Cube and created the Business Layer, all works well. The outline of cube has measure groups or measure hierachies. When creating a Webi report connecting to this Universe there appears to be no way to use the measure hierarchies that are defined in the cube. You can traverse the hierarchy in the Webi Query Panel allowing you to select specific measures, but once inside the report there is no method to drill down on these measures, regardless of the level of the selected measure.
Using Analysis for OLAP allows these measure hierarchies to be traversed, however this is more of an analysis tool that is not easy to use for the standard report consumer. Webi is allowing the dimensional hierarchies to be traversed.
As a workaround it has been suggested to convert the Measure Hiearchy to a Dimension hierarchy, however you then no longer have a measure to use.
It would appear that this is unsupported functionality, however I was hoping someone may know of an adequate workaround or be able to point me in the right direction if we are doing something wrong.
