Please check your logs to see more details on the error (alternatively, increase the logging level and rerun).
The error you see could be caused by lots of things which caused the Agentry Server to be unable to establish a connection. Normally, I would look at the Agentry Server window for more details first. If there is nothing there, make sure the JaveBE.ini file has been set correctly for the Back End Host, Login, etc.

You may want to post the JaveBE.ini file to this thread. BTW, if your Environment path was not set correctly, the error messages would be indicating that pretty clearly. I think this is more likely an error for the host url, system number, client number, credentials, etc. If you try to login directly to your backend using the same credentials, does it work?
Also, what is your Backend? If SAP ERP or CRM, try to use the credentials to login directly through SAPGUI.
